16.09.2025 • 19h / Talk - Théâtre Princesse Grace

Laurence Delamare, Director of 7L and Relations Littérature at CHANEL Mode, will revisit the life of Gabrielle Chanel in a lecture punctuated by a selection of excerpts from works by Jean Cocteau, Colette, and F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Laurence Delamare began her career in fashion in 1996 as press officer for Yohji Yamamoto in Paris. In 2004, she joined Chanel to coordinate the fashion press services for the House worldwide. She took over as global head of Chanel’s fashion press and external relations department from 2011 to 2022, working alongside Karl Lagerfeld and Virginie Viard, the House’s artistic directors.

In 2022, she became director of Librairie 7L, an art bookstore founded by Karl Lagerfeld in Saint-Germain-des-Prés and acquired by Chanel after the couturier’s death. Librairie 7L also includes a space for cultural programming and creation in the heart of his former photo studio and Éditions 7L. Passionate about the history of Chanel, its codes, and the House’s contribution to contemporary culture, she plays a role in passing on this heritage within the company, a world leader in luxury fashion. In addition to Librairie 7L, she has been in charge of the Relations Littérature de Chanel Mode since August 2025.
