LA COLLECTION VOYAGEUSE

Since 2002, the Museum preserves 4,000 stage costumes and 400 stage set models from the Opéra de Monte-Carlo and deposited by the Société des Bains de Mer.

Launched in 2018 as part of a project by artist Celia Pym, La Collection voyageuse offers a series of traveling workshops. Accompanied by fabrics, embroideries, headdresses and accessories from the Opéra de Monte-Carlo’s costume collection, a team of mediators leads several workshops in schools, associations and medical institutions. From touching to drawing to writing, these creative workshops are also an opportunity to raise awareness of the issues surrounding the conservation and restoration of works of art.
