Eléonore False gathers images that she then arranges in the form of collages, which sometimes become volumes. The images are taken from medical textbooks, sewing manuals or fashion magazines, with the smallest fragments slipping into the transparent pockets of her picture holders. In this way, they can become mental representations, even obsessions: a lock of hair, a butterfly wing, a vase… In his hybridizations, skins and motifs, nature and decorative arts end up merging. In reality, it’s more like a beginning for new representations.

Éléonore False works with two 6th grade classes from the Principality’s two secondary schools. She invites the pupils to collect images from the various printed media around them and to classify them in her own way, with a view to composing their own collages.

In partnership with the Direction Nationale de l’Education et la Jeunesse et des Sports and with the support of the Direction des Affaires Culturelles du Gouvernement Princier.
